pH/Minerals & your system

(Your foundations to Whole Health & Wellness)

As a recap from  BMCD Wellness Workshop in January “New Year – Detox & Weight Management, having sufficient minerals, a balanced pH, and having a properly functioning digestive system are your  foundations to Whole Health & Wellness (and a natural by-product of this is Weight Loss/Management. This tip focuses upon minerals. Here is a few Q & A to help understand pH/minerals & their importance! Q#1 What is a balanced pH?

Answer: When testing via first morning urine with hydrazine paper, a balanced pH is when first morning urine is consistently between 6.4 and 7.0.

It is interesting in that many world-class athletes strive to have a first morning urine pH of 6.8.  Why? They find that as a result of having a sufficient mineralized body, their cells get more oxygen hence their performance is optimized and they avoid so-called acute injuries.

Q#2 How are we designed to obtain minerals.

Answer:  in our diet.

-The only foods that contain more minerals than they need for their own metabolism are fruits and vegetables. (Think Bank Account)

-Even though other foods such as meats and traditionally prepared grains have minerals, due to the nature of the food requiring more work on the digestive system the body needs to supply more minerals from its reserves (a withdraw) than what the actual food actually can contribute.

 Strive towards a diet that follows the 80%/20% guide:  vegetable/meat protein, vegetable/complex carbohydrates, raw & cultured / cooked

 get sufficient fat soluble vitamins (ADEK, Omega 3,6,7,9) so your body can uptake the minerals you are eating (these can come from high quality raw butter & cod liver oil)

Q#3 Can we get all our minerals through our foods?

Answer: Today our foods are less efficient in providing minerals (demineralization of our soils)

– Research has shown that you would have to eat 53 of today’s peaches to get the same Vitamin A level as one peach from 1950.

-WHY?  Modern Food Processing: A main reason being our SOIL has not been treated properly

 sprayed and sprayed and sprayed with chemicals pesticides, herbicides, insecticides

 now there are foods GMO style (denatured foods)  and soils are not being cultivated to give them time to replenish their minerals alsofoods are being harvested prior to peak ripeness, transportation methods, storage methods and the list goes on

Q#4  What happens when I don’t have proper levels of minerals and a balanced pH?

Answer: An unbalanced, overly acidic diet produces sick cells and consequently a sick body. Here are just a few of  initial symptoms 1.       Digestive problems, 2.       Low energy 3.       Fatigue 4.       Aches 5.        Joint Pain 6.      Just feeling “sick and tired” 7.       Excess weight 8.       Unclear thinking/memory 9.       Depression 10.   Insomnia Q# 5 What can help provide sufficient nutrients?

Answer: A couple of dietary tips on supporting mineralization- 1.       Have an alkalizing diet – 80% alkaline and only 20% acidic 2.       Stop eating after 7:00 P.M. 3.       When consuming meat, do it before 2:00 P.M. in the afternoon 4.       Get your stomach acid right – the better the stomach acid, the greater the mineral reserves will become 5.       Get the liver and gallbladder clean 6.       Ensure your bowel movements are excellent 7.      Avoid all the processed foods discussed in the seminar 8.       As mentioned above, due partially to aggressive food manufacturing techniques and eating habits, it is no longer realistic to think that we can obtain the right level of  minerals just from our Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, which is why Super Foods/Super Nutrients  such as: (Air Dried Pink Salk, Coconut Oil, Premier Greens Mix, Hydrochloric Acid [HCL], Digestive Enzymes has gone from a good idea to an absolute necessityof being a part of one’s daily diet.
